inner monologue

from a few demos by Tough Sell

/

lyrics

We took a walk around the block
To give our lungs a break
I listen to the things you say
And wonder if they’re fake
You point out the big dipper
And ask me how I’ve been
I don’t know what to say cuz I haven’t been listening

Yeah lately I don’t take the time to listen to my inner monologue
Cuz I’m too damn bogged down by it all
And I wish someone else could make the call for me
Let weeks and months pass by while I sit up in my room and try not to cry, cuz I’m so damn confused all the time, and I wish someone else could read my mind
